Our work starts with listening. Do you have a detailed vision, or a feeling you want to create? I’ll closely analyze your property, considering drainage, light, soil and site conditions, and your particular climate zone. I bring the experience to know what can work — and I’ll work with you to develop a plan that will meet, as much as possible, your vision, ideas, and needs.
Hardscapes and Stonework
We take the traditional Vermont craft of dry stone wall-building, and bring it to new levels on walkways, patios, stairs, and walls. Good stonework takes patience! We’ll work with the land, with the stone, with your ideas and dreams. What’s going to be just right, just what you imagined, solid and beautiful on your site?
Plantings
What do you want to see growing? We bring a wide range of knowledge — and an eye toward location, zone, and aesthetics — to installing and maintaining shrubs, trees, perennials, and annuals.
Kiefer Brothers began with a focus on edible landscaping, and we still love to do plantings that will produce delicious food for you. Whatever your vision and desires, we’ll consult and advise about what will look great and what can thrive on your property, with its particular drainage, soil, and climate conditions. As much as possible, we’ll give your ideas the chance to grow.
